Annual General Meeting
The 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Cedardale Church took place following our regular Sunday morning service on April 15th, 2012, following a fellowship lunch together.
The meeting was open to everyone, members and adherents and even interested guests. Only members, however, were able to participate and vote for ministry leaders and District Assembly/Conventions delegates for the new fiscal year (May-2012 through April-2013). The membership determined that the 2011-2012 Church Board would remain in place for the next year.
Reports from the church leadership (Pastors, Stewards, Trustees, SDMI, NMI, and NYI) for the previous year were presented in booklet form and made available at the meeting.

Annual Leadership Nominations and Elections
The leadership of our local church goes through a re-sELECTION each year. At our annual general meeting (AGM), we will hear the reports from our current leadership, and we will also sELECT the new leadership for the coming year.
A Nominating Committee meets a number of times each Winter to review the names of individuals whom our congregation (members and adherents) have presented, on nomination forms, as suitable for one of the positions. Eligible nominees are members of the church. We provide detailed nomination forms for the use of our congregation which remain available right up to the "last date for submitting nominations" selected by the Nominating Committee, which then meets to finalize the nominations and the current year ballot.
Each nominee is contacted in writing by the Nominating Committee asking these church members if they would prayerfully consider having their name stand for sELECTION to the particular position at the AGM. This decision not only involves prayerful consideration by the nominee, but also household agreement and unanimity, as leadership roles often utilize considerable time and energy.
